This is not easy, but it’s not impossible, either. You need to create your own little evening ritual (it will only take a couple of minutes) to help your curls look flirty and springy every morning.

  • Never sleep with loose strands. Before bed remember to put your rich curls up in a pineapple to keep them defined and smooth during sleep.
  • Once your hair is up, cover it in a silk scrunchie or bonnet. Make sure your pillowcase is also made of silk. The smooth fabric prevents friction that leads to tangling and matting.
  • Another great trick is to add coconut oil onto the tips of your hair before you put it up. You can also use Shea butter in the colder months. This will help your hair stay moisturized and look fresh every morning.
  • When you have more time in the evening create 4 or 5 twists and sprinkle them with coconut oil then cover them in the satin head wrap. A great way to harmlessly detangle your curls.

On days when you feel your hair is going completely crazy and can’t be tamed in any way, use a wig or a few quick-to-install human hair extensions (check GlamourWeave™ for amazing options) and you are good to go.
